Dirac Live Now Available on the NAD Masters M10 BluOS™ Streaming Amplifier

The venerated brand’s flagship lifestyle audio system to be equipped with renowned room correction software.

AXPONA Expo, Chicago, IL, April 9, 2019 — NAD Electronics’ Masters Series BluOS Streaming Amplifier, the M10, will soon be enabled with state-of-the-art room correction software from Dirac Research. Dirac Live will become enabled with the coming update to version 3.4 of BluOS, the hi-res music management and multi-room audio technology onboard the M10. Users will be prompted to update their devices on or around April 16, 2019.

The integration of Dirac Live will allow users to calibrate their M10 to a room’s dimensions, shape, and architectural features, offering a near-perfect compensation of the room’s acoustic anomalies up to 500 Hz. Users interested in room correction across the full frequency range can easily upgrade to Dirac Live Full.

The M10 has the ability to store up to five room profiles, called “filters”, configured using the microphone included with the M10 and Dirac’s proprietary app, available for desktop, iOS, and Android devices. Robust tone and room correction controls can be accessed with the Dirac app, while the BluOS Controller app contains basic controls, allowing a user to select one of the five filters saved to the unit, adjust subwoofer crossover settings, or simply disable Dirac.

“Room correction is traditionally used in multi-channel set-ups,” explained Cas Oostvogel, NAD Electronics Product Manager. “Since the room is the biggest factor affecting sound quality regardless of how many channels you have, we wanted to include Dirac Live in our M10 offering to ensure that even our stereo two-channel users have the best listening experience possible.”

Dirac Live on the NAD Masters M10 BluOS Streaming Amplifier will be on demonstration at the AXPONA Expo, April 12 to 14, 2019, Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center in Chicago, IL. Visitors to Holm Audio suite #726 and Saturday Audio Exchange suite #306 will be led through a demonstration of the technology by Dirac Research’s Jakob Ågren, Head of Product at Dirac’s High-Performance Audio Business Unit. Mr Ågren will also speak at the NAD Electronics Master Class Theater in the Main Expo Hall on Sunday, April 14, at 11:00 AM local time.
