NAD Receives Seven 2017 TAS Editors’ Choice Awards

Having one of your components featured on The Absolute Sound’s annual Editors’ Choice list is wonderful, but to have seven different units appear on the list is a true honour.

Set to hit shelves in March, The Absolute Sound’s Editor’s Choice Awards issue compiles all the products that the magazine’s premier writers and editors would buy and recommend themselves. Beginning with the Power Amplifiers category, the first NAD product to appear is the NAD M22.

“It goes deep, exploring more of the dynamic contrasts and harmonic complexities that define the timbre of a bass drum or skin of a tympani or the drumhead of a tom-tom,” writes the magazine of the M22. Moving into the Integrated Amplifiers category, the magazine chose to highlight our D 3020, C 316BEE, C 326BEE, C 356BEE, C 390 DD, and M12.

When discussing the D 3020, the magazine says that the D 3020 is “truly a design for our times, [it’s] improbably small and portable and loaded.” Elsewhere in the issue, our C 356BEE is given top marks for its soundstage, with the magazine describing it as “large with a good sense of air around instruments, and a nice sense of depth.” Finally, the M12;“sonically the M12 remain true to NAD values in the way it prizes midrange neutrality, yet also throws hints of richness into the mix.”
