In a January 2015 hardware review, The Ear, one of the UK’s most popular online sources for HiFi audio, announced the new NAD Masters M12 Direct Digital Preamp DAC and M22 Stereo Power Amplifier as winners of their Best of 2014 Award. “A clear winner for those who want to combine all the benefits of modern streaming and digital sources, yet like to play records and other analogue sources,” said editor René Van Es in the award verdict. “But more important is that it sounds excellent, very neutral and extremely detailed.”

In selecting the two NAD Masters components for this coveted award, Van Es also recognized how both components make full use of NAD’s innovative Modular Design Construction (MDC) and said, “there is also a streaming module near to production that will be filly compatible with the range made by the sister brand, Bluesound.” “The excellent [BluOS] control app can be used to navigate your music collection, but it’s just as easy to connect to Spotify, Qobuz, TIDAL, or other online music sources and internet radio.”
