NAD Electronics’ Masters M10 BluOS® Streaming Amplifier Awarded Top Honour by World’s Most Prestigious Hi-Fi Press

EISA Editors voted to recognise its versatility, value, performance, and future-proof design.

PICKERING, CANADA, AUGUST 15, 2019NAD Electronics, a leading manufacturer of premium home audio and video products, announced today that the M10 BluOS® Streaming Amplifier from its flagship Masters line of products has won the 2019 EISA Award for Best Smart Amplifier. EISA, the Expert Imaging and Sound Association, is an independent body of over 50 speciality electronics magazines from around the world. The award winners are chosen as the best in their category from the thousands of products tested and reviewed by EISA member magazines over the year. NAD representatives will be accepting the award during the EISA Awards Gala, scheduled for September 6, 2019, in Berlin, Germany.

The editors of EISA’s hi-fi audio publications lauded the NAD Masters M10 for its unconventional industrial design, sleek user interface, superior amplifier performance, and premium streaming capabilities through the built-in BluOS® system.

“It took a while for NAD to enter the world of all-in-one network music solutions, but the M10 was worth every moment of the wait, for this sensational little amplifier is also a complete ‘just add speakers’ music system,” said the 2019-2020 EISA Awards Board in an official statement. “The dramatic full-width touchscreen display sets the tone, allowing you to access the full range of the M10’s capabilities. These include streaming music services, with BluOS allowing multiroom playback with Bluesound products, Bluetooth and AirPlay 2, plus digital and analogue inputs, an HDMI-ARC connection for TV sound, and even Dirac Live room correction to optimise the sound. Finally, with NAD’s HybridDigital amplification onboard, the M10 will drive virtually any partnering speaker – it is a true master of modern music playback.”

“The M10 may be seen as a departure for the brand,” says Cas Oostvogel, Product Manager at NAD. “The compact form factor, the Gorilla Glass touchscreen, and the streaming capabilities make the M10 an unusual piece compared with others from NAD, but the truth is that we have been making streaming integrated amplifiers since 2016. We knew we needed to bring a different flavour to the streaming amplifier though, since great-sounding music isn’t just for hi-fi enthusiasts. We think the M10 nicely straddles the line and appeals to both audiophiles and music lovers who want a modern look and user experience, and the EISA award reinforces this.”

With the EISA Awards now in their 32nd year and membership including the leading audio journals from Europe, The Americas, and Asia-Pacific, the results are widely regarded as one of the highest honours in the hi-fi industry. To win an EISA award, products undergo a robust, rigorous and exhaustive judging process in two stages. Following intensive testing and audition at the facilities of EISA member magazines, each journal submits a shortlist of the best products in each awards category. The second stage takes place at EISA’s annual General Meeting, where a democratic voting process establishes a consensus of excellence and determines the winning products.

The M10 BluOS Streaming Amplifier is available at select premium audio retailers around the world.
