BluOS Now Compatible With URC Total Control® System

Dealers and installers can now easily integrate BluOS enabled devices with URC’s Total Control system for wireless whole-home music control

PICKERING, ON, CANADA, MAY 25, 2017Lenbrook, developers of the BluOS® music operating system and parent company of Bluesound and NAD Electronics, today announced their partnership with URC™ and introduced its first two-way BluOS control module for integration with the URC Total Control® system. Supported on BluOS enabled devices from Bluesound and NAD Electronics, the leaders in wireless hi-res audio distribution, the new driver allows users to seamlessly control music playback from URC Total Control interfaces including the new TDC-7100 Tabletop Touchscreen Controller and TKP-7600 In-Wall Touchscreen, TRC-1080 and TRC-820 Handheld Remotes, Total Control Mobile Apps and more.

The new two-way driver passed interoperability tests for full certification and will allow dealers and installers to offer fundamental music playback controls within the intuitive and easy URC interface, including:

  • Playback controls: Play, Pause, Skip Tracks
  • Volume Controls: Up and Down
  • Now Playing Screen: Full Metadata with Album Cover Art
  • Play Queue Display: Current, Previous, and Next Track
  • Preset Selection: Select and Load Presets
