NAD HP50 Wins Top Choice Award from AVS Forum

NAD HP50 Top Choice Award AVS Forum

“I loved listening to the VISO HP50s,” says Mark Henninger in his AVS Forum review. “These are the sort of headphones that make revisiting favorite albums fun.” In his review of NAD’s over-ear headphone, Henninger details the many measurements he took of the HP50 using both Room EQ Wizard software and miniDSP EARS. What Henninger found was that the HP50 “are extremely linear with great bass extension.”

“These cans sound smooth and balanced across the whole audio spectrum,” Henninger continues. Attributing part of this to NAD’s advanced RoomFeel™ technology—which creates the same soundstage one would experience if they were listening to a pair of loudspeakers—Henninger says that it is this quality that make the HP50 “a great choice for discerning music lovers that seek uncolored sound covering the entire range of human hearing.”

While listening to Gorillaz’s 2010 album Plastic Beach, Henninger says that the album easily helped establish that the HP50 are able “to satisfy the cravings of lovers of truly deep and tight bass.” Henninger notes that he had nothing but praise for how the entire album performed when heard through the HP50.

Having enjoyed his experience with the headphone so much, Henninger ultimately decided to reward the HP50 with a Top Choice Award.
