Following a string of stellar reviews in popular audio magazines Hi-Fi Choice, Hi-Fi News and Hi-Fi Critic, What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision says that the D 3020 V2 is “difficult not to love” in their own five-star take of NAD’s new spruced-up digital amp. Described by What Hi-Fi? as a “slicker, classier-looking version” and “unlike anything else on the market,” the new D 3020 V2 has been updated with more digital and analogue inputs, including a phono input that lets you easily connect a turntable directly to the amp without the need for any additional components.

Listening to The Elgin’s “Heaven Must Have Sent You,” the reviewer said it is its “combination of timing and dynamics” that makes the D 3020 V2 so likeable, and that “the presentation is tonally even, but with great body to the sound.” In the end, the reviewer goes as far as challenging readers to find a better amp at this price: “But if you can find another amplifier with this many features, which is this easily accommodated, and sounds better for the money, then we’d love to know about it.”
