This receiver was the first 'real' stereo receiver I ever purchased. I was still in college and had been pouring over reviews in Stereo Review Magazine at the library on campus. The NAD 7150 seemed to be the best bang for the buck, as it were. I had to have it, though $700 was heavy change for a struggling college student, I wanted something that sounded great and would last. Almost 30 years later, the tuner seems to have given up the ghost, but I hooked up an NAD C 425 and everything else is working awesome! The overall build and heft (it's VERY heavy) are second to none. I also use an NAD AV 711 Surround Sound Receiver for my home theater; I am an NAD loyalist for life and will NEVER buy any other brand!
