User Review: C 715 Compact Music Systems - Great high-end clock radio solution

Products: C 715 Compact Music Systems

About 2 years I was looking for a high-end clock radio solution and I wasn't really impressed with the Bose Wave Radio, I read about this unit and noticed that it also had an alarm. I purchased this unit with a pair of Epos ELS-3 speakers and it sounds great. The 20 watts per channel are more powerful than one would expect. Just for fun compared it with my Onkyo TX-NR801 ($899) receiver with the ELS-3, I had the Onkyo in the 4ohm setting. The Onkyo sounded like crap compared to the NAD, I was very surprised. The Onkyo did play louder since it has more power, but at lower volume levels the NAD sounded fuller and cleaner. During the 2 years I have owned this unit I have not had any problems with it. I do not use the USB functionality, I primarily purchased it as a high-end clock radio/receiver for the bedroom. My only complaint would be that the clock only displays when the unit is turned on. Larger lettering on the display would also be nice.
