User Review: T 535 Universal DVD Player - Super Universal player with ONE drawback
July 17, 2009
Products: T 535 Universal DVD Player
I use this player mostly for SACD and DVD-audio playback via the analog outputs. The sound quality is very good. The one BIG drawback is the watermark checking during DVD-audio playback. If someone from NAD sees this, PLEASE let me know via email if watermark checking can be disabled by a firmware upgrade? The reason why watermark checking has become a big issue is this: there were many DVD-audio titles produced around 2001 to 2003. The excistance of these are the main reason for owning a DVD-audio player. Because all these titles are out of print and mostly deleted, you cannot buy retail copies. I have tried for several years now. However the sound quality from these discs are so fantastic that me and others will do anything to get a copy. These DVD-audio discs can now be copied and played on players which does not check for watermarking. Therefor all people in the know, will nowadays only buy a DVD-audio player which does NOT do watermark checking.Francois Viljoen - South Africa
