Hi. I had a NAD C340. Then I moved into a house that needed A/B speaker capabilities so I could listen to speakers in my living room or kitchen. I looked everywhere for amps that could drive A or B speakers...in the end, I auditioned two different amps in my home: Marantz PM7001 and the NAD C355BEE. The NAD blew the Marantz away...the Marantz had a warm sound, but you could tell the amp did not have have the muscle of the NAD. When you fired up all 4 speakers, the Marantz lost detail and the music did not have the same soundstage. The NAD however had a much bigger sound. In the end, I kept the NAD. Now I will sell my Arcam cd-player and will buy the C545BEE CD Player to match. Like others, I do not know how/why WHF gave this amp only 4 stars!?!?!? If you want a top-value amp that plays all music well and can drive most speakers really well, this is unmatched. The only amp that comes close with A/B speaker options IMO is the Creek 5350SE.
