Previously I was using Sony then Marantz A/V products. This year purchased the T753 in a special Hi-Fi store. The fronts are the JBL Northridge (E100) the rest I don't have to mention. Subwoofer (I have) sometimes not important. Sources are HK DVD player Sony CD and Sherwood phono. I like the "big" musics, symphonic or metal things and also using for movie. The biggest thing I like on that equipment is it's fat, live mellow sound. No question it is loud or quiet the quality is the same. The highs are not same strong as the basses but the overall sound performance and recreation is very good. To listen the Therion live performance (DVD) is more then just a sound experience, you can feel yourself in the middle of the music (mixed music with metal, acoustic and male/female choir). The hook up was easy took 20 minutes overall. The remote is easy to use and set up. If you don't have money for high-end product (2000$ and plus) this is the product which will solve your question.
