User Review: PP-2 Phono Preamplifier - I love my NAD PP-1...do I even NEED to upgrade to the PP-2?

Products: PP-2 Phono Preamplifier

Let me just say I am an NAD fan. I have used NAD integrated amps, receivers, power amps and cassette decks for years. I have had the PP-1 phono pre for something like a ridiculous 16 years. Sounds fantastic. No problems. I run a Rega P-3 with a Sumiko BluePoint (all about the same vintage as the PP-1) through it and it's beautiful. Here's my question: Do I even need a PP-2? I see that some of the specs are a bit better - but is this a case of NAD making products that are so good and robust that a guy like me (who loves buying new gear) is apt to be uninterested in the new models? If any of you tell me it is noticeably better, I'm in! I am only about 8 months into ownership of my amazing T-758...but I'm always looking to tweak! *cheers* -Matt
