User Review: C 542 CD Player - Can It Get Any Better?

Wow! I just replaced a Sony $150-$200 CD player with the C542 - coupled with a Yamaha RX497 Amp (six months old) & a pair of 600 series B&W speakers plus B&W subwoofer, I expected and hoped for some incremental changes as I attempt to build a little better system. Was I shocked! The addition of the NAD has opened my ears to superb sound - clarity, detail, separation, bass response - I was floored at the improvement. I immediately called my dealer and ordered the C352 integrated amp - goodbye Yamaha. If it gets much better, I may end up in a catatonic state on the living room floor.
