I boughth my first 3400 used in 1991 and it has been in daily use since then. Incredible amplifier. Somewhat 25 years after its origin there are few amplifiers that can match this one. It has taked its turn together with a 2400, and they have delivered huge amounts of joy and pleasure!! The design of the NAD Monotor Series is amazing. Placed on top of each other, the symetrical placing of knobs and displays is wonderful. Not to forget the remote, it looks cool and the knots are placed just where you expect them to be! However, nothing last forever and today my beloved one gave up. Its making a irritating humm, and I'm in pain! I really hope that NAD one day find the design of the Monitor Series interesting again, in that case I'll be first in line!!
