User Review: C 446 Digital Media Tuner - good product; remote control should be upgraded

October 4, 2012

Products: C 446 Digital Media Tuner

I only use the NAD C446 for internet radio and USB hard disc. In the beginning there were some problems; there appeared to be an incompatibility between the NAD and my router. I had to replace the router. Apparently the NAD was too critical. I like the sound very much. I also like that I can connect -after FAT formatting- a hard disc with sufficient capacity (in my case 300 Gb). Windows does not FAT format such a size, but programs are available on internet to do that. What I don't like is that I cannot switch or select senders with the remote. I also have a cheap internet radio tuner (not NAD), with which this is possible. The remote of the NAD C446 is rather big, and only a very small part of it is usable. By the way, the remote does not function with my other NAD equipment.
