User Review: T 748 A/V Surround Sound Receiver - Problem: Auto calibration doesn't work

Products: T 748 A/V Surround Sound Receiver
I got this one last week. The sound quality was produced very satisfy. The impressive low frequency, clear high pitch was done very well for less than $700 a/v receiver range. The thing I love most is there is no EQ room (such as hall, church, cave etc...) because there is 'auto calibration'. It claims (from manual) that "T748 will automatically calibrate to the exact speakers and speaker placement of your own unique Home Theatre. To be done properly, calibration requires special knowledge and instrumentation that the average person probably doesn't possess." However, this function doesn't work on mine. I means the calibration process was stopped at the beginning and keeping alert 'no front left speaker found' which there was a sound when I played movie or music. I questioned and got the answer that it was firmware glitch which seller can't do anything except to wait from NAD to upgrade the firmware. (I still have no idea how they gonna upgrade mine cuz there is no network connection in this model) Anyway, I'll keep waiting for the fix and still recommend who want a really good sound within limited budget.
