I received the T 787 this week and my goodness - what a solid and well-built machine! The first thing I did was hurt my back when the FedEx person handed it over! My fault though as I was so excited I just couldn't wait to get it unpacked, inspected and installed. I didn't even run the Audyssey calibration first. Just slapped in a blu ray and straight from the box it sounded awesome. Going to calibrate today - Easter Sunday. Not only did I purchase this for surround sound and film but for my music listening pleasure as well. I still have my DENON DP-51F turntable from 1985 paired up with the NAD PP-2 phono preamplifier and listen to a lot of vinyl and it sounds GREAT! The PP-2 is so simple in its appearance yet it looks like art as well and does exactly what it is supposed to do! This is my first NAD amp/ receiver and I am totally impressed. I am using it in conjunction with an Opp BDP-95 blu ray player and PSB Image T65 Tower Speakers and a PSB Image C40 Centre speaker, Boston Acoustics CR57 Surround Back and Side Speakers and two 10" powered Earthquake Supernova Subs, and a new Samsung PN51D550 plasma 3D TV. Everything sounds AND looks incredible. This T787 is expensive but as we all know in the audiophile world - you get what you pay for. I am now hooked on NAD for life. Already thinking about upgrading my turntable now after 27 years. Highly recommended!
