This beauty is a real high end product. The processing is way beyond mass market levels. EARS gives you a clear all speaker assault, but I really like Enhanced Stereo. You get high end stereo sound with ambiance. Using the Viso is not intuitive--you need the manual for help until you get used to operations. I live in an attached home, so I can't use a lot of power. The 45 watts per channel is plenty. I'm driving Infinity RS 325s for fronts and Bose 100s for surrounds. My sub is a Celestion. Sound on "Saving Private Ryan" is dynamic and tremendously powerful. Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" on DVDA is a surround miracle. This is my favorite receiver ever.
