At long last I upgraded from my Nikko Beta preamp to the NAD C162. Len at Ovation Audio spoke highly of of NAD, the phono section and the superior quality and value of the C162. I've listened to a number of digitally recorded CD's and I'm very impressed. This unit is crystal clear, sonically rich and as such I am *very* happy with my purchase. (The sonic quality was so good that my wife thought that I had upgraded our speakers!) I have not listened to the phono or tape sections yet but plan to soon. I really like the fact that the C162 has two tape inputs as I still have cassettes and actively use Mini-Discs. I'm very happy - and sold on NAD. Now if I can just find a buyer for my B&K amp so I can upgrade to the NAD... Grins
