"Because, without any reservation I can already tell you that the M2 delivers an awful lot of musical pleasure and in various aspects excels way above its price point."

"I can tell you, the M2 is certainly not wanting for dynamics or speed, it's Percussion really hits hard. The vocals stay separate from the band and nothing, absolutely nothing smears or clogs it up; the lower register have pace and remain distinctive, the rhythm is fully there, the whole has a high degree of vividness. Reproduction of details goes a step beyond of what I have managed to achieve here at home with integrated CD players or separate D/A converters. For whatever detailing is worth, it's the speed and attack that impresses most. This, combined with the power that the M2 can deliver makes that my Focals shout out loud out of sheer joy. It makes the M2 a fearsome powerhouse which will be a tough one for the competition. At no point did the M2 become fazed and should you think that the amp “probably sounds like any other Class D device”, you’re way off the mark."

M2 "As it so happens, an M2 sounds far from digital, cold or analytic. It does have tremendous resolution, plenty of detail and distortion is many times lower. It stays neutral and provides almost sheer endless power. The perfect amp?"

"Instead of finding shortcomings or flaws, and not finding any, it dawned on me more and more what a feat NAD has delivered. Playing music for an hour invariably resulted in listening for many more hours, switching off the amp was not an option. And with that, the only negative comment can be made: the NAD M2 wreaks havoc with your social life. I have invented a wide range of excuses so I can stay at home, preferably alone with my records and CDs."

"It’ll be obvious from the text above. The NAD M2 left an indelible impression on me. Carefully avoiding mentioning brands in price ranges that greatly exceed the asking price of € 5999, it can be viewed as a black box that can compete in the highest echelons. In the past NAD has established its name by delivering with affordable products. This trick repeated with the M2 as in the realm of High-End the M2 is affordable."

"As it so happens, an M2 sounds far from digital, cold or analytic. It does have tremendous resolution, plenty of detail and distortion is many times lower. It stays neutral and provides almost sheer endless power. The perfect amp?"

"Unfortunately I can’t but conclude that taking away the M2 has meant a degradation for both my analogue and my digital playback. Keywords describing performance are complete transparency, wide dynamics, speed, neutrality, the ability to create a 3D soundstage with whatever you feed it, the NAD relays it as music. During the past weeks, I didn’t discover negative aspects unless you count the disability of the NAD to transform a poor recording into something listenable. Poor input gives poor output. The NAD M2 is a truly innovative product of which both manufacturer and distributor can be proud. For those with a budget of € 6000 for an amplifier auditioning the M2 is a must. For those without can only wish that NAD will employ the expertise gathered with the M2 at lower price points."
