The L54 may well be the perfect solution for people who demand superb performance combined with elegant style and simple operation. Building on the strength of the highly acclaimed L53, we have added the latest digital video decoders to give an even better picture than before.

The styling of the NAD L54 makes an elegant design statement. A perfect compliment to today’s flat panel TV designs, the L54 is ideal for apartments, vacation homes, bedrooms, dorm rooms, or any other place where big sound is required but space is limited or simplicity is desired.

PERFORMANCE

The L54 is designed to make music with all the intensity and emotional involvement contained in the original performance. Advanced engineering based on our 30 year history of producing award winning designs endows the L54 with the ability to accurately convey every nuance of the artist’s performance. High current power supplies, discrete transistor output stages, and carefully selected components and circuit layout insure imperceptible levels of distortion and crisp power delivery. The subwoofer output allows full compatibility with any of the many excellent powered subwoofers currently available.

The L54 also provides state-of-the-art video performance, with the latest generation DVD-Video decoder featuring Progressive Scan output to digital TV displays via Component Video connections. Of course, the normal S-Video and Composite Video (and SCART RGB for 230V versions) connections are there as well. Speaker binding posts accept heavy gauge wire or banana jacks for accurate signal transfer, and gold plated input jacks insure long term reliability and performance.

SIMPLICITY

Since the L54 is a two-channel (stereo) receiver, set up is simplicity itself. Connect your stereo speakers and TV monitor and you are ready to go. No complex setup or running of wires to rear channels is required. The L54’s learning remote with illuminated keys can replace your TV and Satellite remotes and can even be simply programmed to activate your entire system with only two keystrokes (Macro function).

ADVANCED FEATURES

The L54 features SRS technology to provide an enveloping surround sound sensation from only two speakers. This is a great solution where additional surround speakers cannot be accommodated but the spacious effect of surround sound is desired. To expand your video possibilities NAD incorporates DivX technology into the L54 , providing the flexibility to enjoy high-quality DivX video from wherever you might be, easily taking the video from your PC to the family room video display, for example.
